Cletus J. Latour, age 81, of Annandale died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Wellstead of Rogers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
Cletus Joseph Latour was born June 27, 1931 at Maple Lake to Hubert and Viola (Rassat) Latour. During the Korean War he served as a member of the U.S. Army. Cletus then worked as a livestock trucker, hog farmer, and Ready Mix truck driver. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Father O'Brien's Council Knights of Columbus #3613, and Maple Lake VFW Post #131.
He is survived by son Randy (Cathy) Latour of Annandale, daughter Denise (Charles) Thelen of Cold Spring, six grandchildren Justin, Lindsey & Lauren Latour, Brandon & Caitlyn Braegelmann, & Colton Thelen, brothers & sisters Bernice Zumbusch of the Twin Cities, Maurice "Butch" (Ione) Latour of Annandale, John (Ann Ryan) Latour of South Haven, Russell Latour of Annandale, Joanne (Jerold) Cordell of Annandale, Mary (Norman) Shoberg of Annandale, also his former wife & special friend Phyllis Latour of Annandale. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Gregory Latour.
The pallbearers will be his six grandchildren and the music for the service will be provided by St. Ignatius Music Ministry. Full Military Honors will be provided by Maple Lake VFW and Maple Lake American Legion along with comrades that served with Cletus during the Korean War. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
