Obituary

Mr. Clarence J. Jude, age 90, of Maple Lake died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Juettner officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 8-9 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Clarence John Jude was born July 18, 1914 in Maple Lake to Joseph & Mary (Brun) Jude. He married Beatrice Eull September 3, 1940 in Monticello. Clarence worked for Wright-Hennepin Electric for over 40 years before retiring in 1980. He also owned his own trucking business, was a policeman for the City of Maple Lake, and was a Special Deputy for the Wright County Sheriff's Department. Clarence lived his entire life in Maple Lake where he was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church, served on St. Timothy's Cemetery Board, former member of Father O'Brien's Council Knights of Columbus #3613, and a retired member of the Maple Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Clarence loved work, but also thoroughly enjoyed many years of retirement. He and Beatrice made many friends during their yearly trips to Arizona. Clarence was a proud Irishman, a staunch Democrat, a lively storyteller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was well known for his sense of humor and entertained people with his jokes and stories to the end.

Clarence is survived by his beloved wife, Beatrice of Maple Lake; sons, David (Suzann) of Brighton, MI, and Patrick of Napa, CA; daughters, Jane (Mike) Decker of Waverly, and Bonnie Jude of Brooklyn Center; brothers, Marvin of Rio Linda, CA, and Donald of Andover; grandsons, Jason Jude, and Jacob and Nicholas Decker. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederic and Francis; and sisters, Catherine Munstenteiger and Magdalen Bihl.

Pallbearers will be Jim & Dick Schillewaert, David & Alan Jude, Bob Potter, and Ron Dircks. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Maple Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Music for the funeral provided by Krista Elsenpeter and Ellen Beaudry.
