Obituary
Charles W. Rode, age 81, of Annandale died Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. DJ Lura officiating. Burial will be St. John's Lutheran Cemetery with military honors provided by the Clearwater American Legion Post 323. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Charles William Rode was born February 4, 1926 in West Bend, Wisconsin to Carl and Gladys (Doble) Rode. He married Dorothy Olson in Annandale on June 26, 1948, they were later divorced. On November 22, 1975 he married Beverly (Crandall) Erickson in South Dakota. He was a member of the Fairhaven Masonic Lodge #182, Clearwater American Legion Post 323, and the South Haven VFW Post 7332. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and rock collecting.
Charles is survived by his children, Mark (Florance) of Cokato, Curt of Starbuck, Scott (Bridgett) of Crystal, and Coleen Taylor of Starbuck; step children, Elizabeth Young, Rebecca (Kelly) Driscoll, Roberta (John) Monk, Bonnie (Joe) McClanahan and Katie Jo (Don) Unzen; 29 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. His wife, parents; sister, Janice; and son, Bruce preceded him in death.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
