Charles W. Childs, age 71, of Annandale, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.

Memorial Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Deacon Ron Freeman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Charles Wesley Childs was born January 1, 1944 in Long Island, New York. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Minnesota. On November 4, 1966 he was united in marriage to Victoria Henrikson in Minneapolis. Charles worked various jobs including managing a gas station in Minneapolis and for Burlington Northern Railroad. For a majority of his career, he worked as a machinist for Napco/Dana Corp. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed hunting, playing cribbage, and riding ATV. He and Victoria enjoyed rides on the motorcycle and their involvement with the Road Ghosts motorcycle club. Charles was also a gun enthusiast, whether it be shooting, collecting or more recently, cleaning and repairing. Above all, he treasured the time he was able to spend with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria of Annandale; sons, Wesley of Annandale and Adam (Kelly) of Cokato; and grandchildren, Aric and Aiden. Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
