Carroll L. Schultz, age 84, of Annandale died Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Annandale Care Center.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Silver Creek Community Church, Silver Creek with Rev. Tim Overweg officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Creek Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Carroll Lorraine Schultz was born March 22, 1925 in Minneapolis to Harold Edward and Ethel Emma (Brown) Domm. She married George Carl Schultz (Shorty) on October 25, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1994. Carroll and Shorty owned & operated Shorty's Truckers Inn and other restaurants in the Twin Cities area. She was a homemaker, and along with her husband raised horses at the Box S Ranch and Riding Stables and was involved in other businesses. From 1958-2007 she lived in Silver Creek Township, Wright County. She was a member of Silver Creek Community Church and enjoyed poetry, oil painting, gardening & writing.

She is survived by sons Clinton of Cross Lake, Clifford (Valarie) of Clearwater, Clyde (Mary Beth) of Coon Rapids, sister Dora Otis of Isle, 9 grandchildren Jay, Ann, Jennifer, Teresa, Nicole, Malissa, Christopher, Kevin & Katie; also 12 great grandchildren. Her husband, son Clayton and daughter in law Merilea preceded her in death.

The pallbearers will be Clinton, Clifford, Clyde, Jay, Christopher, Nicole, Malissa and Kevin Schultz. The music for the service will be provided by Katie Schultz and Orma Lou Jacobsma. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
