Caroline Zipoy, age 99, of Kimball died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Hilltop Care Center, Watkins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Tom Knoblach officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
Caroline Zipoy was born October 25, 1907 at Tabor, Minnesota to Matt and Mary (Krava) Novak. She graduated from Warren High School and then on July 31, 1930 graduated from the Bratrud Clinic Hospital School for Nurses in Warren, MN. She married Edward Zipoy on April 14, 1932 in Crookston and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1981. Caroline was a homemaker and also worked as a nurse and then as a waitress for the Andrews Hotel in Minneapolis. She lived in Minneapolis until 1987 when she moved to Kimball. She was a former member of St. Helena Catholic Church, Minneapolis and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball. Caroline was a member of Kimball & Annandale Senior Citizens. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
She is survived by son, Allan Zipoy & his wife, Shirley; grandsons & their wives, Tim & Sue Zipoy, Tom & Sarah Zipoy; great grandchildren, Hannah, Theodore, John, Benjamin, and Julia Zipoy; all of Kimball. She was preceded in death by brothers, Matt, George, Albin & Edward Novak and two infant brothers.
The pallbearers will be Tim & Tom Zipoy, Chuck & David Worthington, Mike Seckinger, and Mark Jansky. The honorary pallbearers will be Caroline`s 5 great grandchildren. The music for the service will be provided by Hannah Zipoy, Mary Streit, Duane Finger, and the St. Anne`s Choir.
