Carol J. Zahler, age 58, of Annandale died Friday, October 19, 2007 at her home on Pleasant Lake following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Carol Jean Zahler was born May 17, 1949 in St. Cloud to Raymond and Irene (Mares) Schmit and married Leo R. Zahler on May 17, 1969 in Watkins. She was a cosmetologist, owning & operating Head Hunters Salon in Annandale for 28 years and over those years enjoyed the conversations with her many customers. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church and Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by her husband, Leo of Annandale; children & their spouses, Jamie & Therese Zahler of Monticello, Michelle & Jim Neises of Waite Park; granddaughters, Abigail & Ashley; mother & stepfather, Irene & Logan Prowse of Winnipeg, Canada; sisters, Rose (Don) Langer of St. Cloud and Beverly Hennen of New Hope. Her father, Raymond Schmit and brother in law, Eugene Hennen preceded her in death.
The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
