Bruce H. Waddell, age 86, of Annandale died Friday, March 17, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Bruce H. Waddell was born March 6, 1920 in Houston, MN to Ralph and Hilda (Greger) Waddell. He married Anna M. Schmidt on October 24, 1942 in Chicago and she preceded him in death on December 16, 2004. From 1940-1962 he served his Country in the U.S. Navy. Bruce then became an Insurance Agent in Bloomington until retiring in 1985. In his retirement Bruce enjoyed golfing and did custom picture framing work. He was a volunteer driver for Wright County & Meals on Wheels, bookkeeper for the Annandale Food Shelf and a member of St. Ignatius Church.
He is survived by his children, Bruce Waddell, Jr. & his wife Kathy of Salt Lake City, UT, Judy Stoffer & her husband Mark of Stillwater, Jennifer Waddell & her husband Daryl Anderson of Monument, CO, Stephen Waddell & his wife, Becky of Buffalo, Jeffrey Waddell & his wife Lynn LeBoutillier of Elk River; sister, Dorothy Abrahamson of Oakdale; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His wife and infant daughter Melinda Sue preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Bruce Jr., Jeffrey, & Rachel Waddell, Sarah Leon, Samuel Choo, and Mark Stoffer. The St. Ignatius Guitar Group will provide the music for the service. The arrangements were by Dingmann funeral Care of Annandale.
