Brett J. Thompson, age 21, of Annandale died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Hennepin County Medical Center following an automobile accident in Kingston Township, Meeker County.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church Gathering Space and also after 9:30 a.m. Monday. There will be a prayer service 8 p.m. Sunday.
Brett Jacob Thompson was born October 18, 1986 in Burnsville to Steven and Julie (Foudray) Thompson. He was a 2005 graduate of Annandale High School where he was a member of the football, basketball & baseball teams and National Honor Society. This past spring Brett had completed his third year of college at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall and for the summer was doing an internship for the Department of Natural Resources in Hutchinson. He was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kimball Express Baseball Team and Northern Migration Softball Team. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing & boating.
He is survived by his parents, Steven & Julie Thompson of Annandale; brother, Kevin of Annandale; grandmothers, Vanetta Thompson of Annandale & Marlene Foudray of Shakopee; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The pallbearers will be James Grundy, Luke Legatt, Matthew Brown, Westin Goetz, Adam Berg, and Craig Mooney. The St. Ignatius Guitar Group will provide the music for the service and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
