Bret M. Cyriacks, age 44, of St. Louis Park died Sunday, October 31, 2004 at his residence due to complications of a seizure disorder.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silver Creek with Rev. David Fretham and Padre Howie Krienke officiating. Burial will follow in Corinna Cemetery, Corinna Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Bret Marvin Cyriacks was born August 8, 1960 in St. Cloud to Marvin and Stella (Kothe) Cyriacks. He was baptized September 4, 1960 and confirmed April 28, 1974 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale. In 1978 he graduated from Annandale High School where he played in the school band and participated in school athletics. He was a member of the football, basketball, and track teams; was a football captain and was the 1978 Class A Minnesota state champion in the long jump. Bret attended Hamline University and then the University of Minnesota. He was employed by US Bank in Minneapolis. He married Susan Urbanski on August 13, 1988 and they later divorced.
His parents, Dr. Marvin & Stella Cyriacks of Annandale; sisters, Marla of Brooklyn Center, Patrice of St. Louis Park; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends survive him.
The pallbearers will be Randall & Robert Bushman, Brian & Joseph Kothe, Bruce Larson, and David Trautman. Beth Kothe will sing 'Lord, Take My Hand and Lead Me' accompanied by Darlene Fretham, pianist and the congregation will sing 'I Know that My Redeemer Lives' & 'Let Us Ever Walk with Jesus' accompanied by Dolores Hayes, organist.
