Bonita "Bonnie" Gannon, age 75, of Kimball, died Friday, December 11, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Tom Olson as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. A walk-through visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church. Attendees are asked to abide by the social distancing guidelines and masks are required. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home's website. Bonita Margaret Gannon was born October 13, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to John and Phyllis (Knaus) Stadden. Bonnie grew up in Golden Valley, where she graduated from Hopkins High School with the Class of 1963. On June 6, 1970, she was united in marriage to John Gannon at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Plymouth. They made their home in Kimball, where they raised their family. Bonnie worked as the pricing manager for Target for over 30 years in St. Cloud at the Crossroads location. She officially retired in 2018. Bonnie was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and the Kimball Fire Department Auxilary. As her children were growing up, Bonnie was active in the PTA, as well as a girl scout leader. Over the years she participated in a bowling league, trap shooting, and was a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross. She found enjoyment in being in the outdoors whether it be tending to her flower gardens, landscaping, driving her Harley, boating, or simply spending time at the lake. She liked to travel, with Lisbon, Portugal at the top of her list. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends on holidays and at the campground. Above all, Bonnie cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 50 years, John of Kimball; children, Tami (Jim) Buranen of Maple Lake, Wendy (Ron) Howard of Golden Valley, Jennifer (Robert) Garding of Kimball and Jeff Gannon of St. Augusta; grandchildren, Brandon Schmidt, Travis Buranen, Xavier Howard, Dylan (Kristen) Garding, and Zachary Garding; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Gavin Schmidt, and Rayna Garding; brother, John (Judy) Stadden of Ramsey; and nieces, nephews, other family members, friends, and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandchild, Tyler Schmidt; sister, Carol Specken; and brother-in-law, Ken Specken. Travis Buranen, Dylan Garding, Zachary Garding and Justin Stadden will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
