Bette Louise Nelson was born on October 30, 1962, in Buffalo to Earl and Dorothy (Klatke) Nelson. She grew up in Silver Creek Township near Annandale and graduated with the Class of 1981 from Annandale High School. She raised her family, along with her former husband, Tim Provo, in the Annandale community, where she lived all her life.

From the age of 16, Bette dedicated herself to the legal field, becoming a respected paralegal at MacMillan and Athanases PLLC, where she spent over 20 years. Her unwavering commitment to her profession and her colleagues reflected her strong work ethic and her passion for helping others.

Bette found immense joy in the simple pleasures. Whether she was shopping, riding her moped, soaking up the sun, or enjoying time on the lake or beach, she radiated warmth and positivity. Bette had a strong faith and found spiritual fulfillment with her church at Heartland Evangelical Free Church in Annandale. Her greatest passion was for her family. She poured her heart into every moment spent with her daughters, son, and grandkids.
