Obituary
Beth M. Murphy, age 87 of Annandale and formerly of rural Clearwater, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Clearwater. Fr. Jacob Yali will officiate and burial will be in St. Luke`s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
Beth Marie Murphy was born July 4, 1919 in Chatfield to Emil and Grace (Strange) Hanson. She graduated from Chatfield High School in 1937. Beth married Edward Murphy on July 16, 1941 in Clearwater and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1986. They lived in rural Clearwater for 40 years. In 1991 she moved to Annandale. Beth was a member of St. Luke`s Catholic Church in Clearwater, St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale and the Clearwater American Legion Auxiliary Post 323. She enjoyed following the Minnesota Twins, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and bird watching.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Steinhaus of Annandale and Patricia Murphy of Greenwald; sister, Dorothy (Wilbur) Schneider of Albert Lea; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Mary Opatrny. Her parents; husband, Edward; sons, Thomas and Michael; three sisters; and four brothers preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Denise Gagner, Jean Benassi, Colleen Beatty, Tom Anderson, Josh Gagner and Justin Benassi. Ruth Ellis and St. Luke's Choir will provide music for the service.
