Obituary
Bernice M. Vincent, age 88, of Annandale, formerly of Kimball died Saturday, January 21, 2006 in her apartment at Centennial Villa Assisted Living.
Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. with Memorial Services 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Interment will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the donor`s choice.
Bernice Marie Vincent was born on a farm east of Kingston on June 27, 1917 to Simon and Ingabord (Nelson) Johnson. She attended public school in Kingston; graduating from Litchfield High School and later from St. Cloud State University. She married Orlo J. Vincent, Sr. on June 9, 1936 in Kingston and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1990. Bernice was a homemaker and an elementary school teacher for 32 years in the Glenwood and Kimball areas, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Kimball United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Ecumenical Bible Study Group and Friends of the Library. She enjoyed golfing, crocheting, reading, attending bible study groups and book clubs.
She is survived by son, Orlo, Jr. `Jerry` of Annandale; 3 grandchildren & their spouses, Timothy & Laura Vincent of Boulder, CO, Kristen & Michael Kennedy of Thousand Oaks, CA, Jason & Michelle Vincent of Thorton, CO; 7 great grandchildren, Sarah, Thomas, Michael & Nicholas Vincent, Matthew, Austin & Taylor Kennedy; sister, Laura Burgoyne of Elk River, and sister in law, Adeline Vincent of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Thomas, sister Rhonda and brother Douglas.
The music for the service will be provided by Jamie Miller, organist and Esther Marks, soloist. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
