Bernice F. Raemer, age 101, died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her home in Vacaville, California. Graveside Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery, French Lake Township. Bernice Florence Raemer was born August 19, 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to George and Ida (Hill) Raemer. Bernice grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis North High School. In 1943, Bernice set out for California, settling in Oakland. Bernice was employed by the San Francisco Chronicle as a proofreader. She was a member of the International Typographical Union. In her spare time, Bernice enjoyed golfing. Bernice is survived by her sister-in-law, Twila Rice of Kansas; nephew and nieces, Robert (Diane Adkin) Raemer of Washington, Diana Park of Kansas, Melissa Helms of Kansas; and great-nieces, Heidi Johnson and Lisa Massey, both of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Raemer and Ida Raemer Ervasti; and siblings, George (Lucille) Raemer Jr., Lorraine (James) Quirk, and Harvey Raemer.
