Bernice O. Peterson, age 90, of Elk River, formerly of Annandale and South Haven, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Monticello-Big Lake Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church, 17872 35th St. NW, South Haven with Rev. Michael Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
Bernice Olivia Peterson was born April 5, 1918 in Cokato to John and Anna (Engstrom) Olson. She married DeVore Forsberg August 3, 1936 and he preceded her in death September 23, 1951. She married Carl Peterson June 2, 1962 and he preceded her in death January 26, 1992. She was a homemaker and worked at 3M in Hutchinson for 28 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by daughters, Shirley Kirchoff of Elk River, Darlene (Donald) Sell of Fairfax; sisters, Mae Juul of Annandale, Ruth Swanson of Buffalo; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, daughter Donna Grass, son in law Elroy Kirchoff, grandson Mark Kirchoff, brothers Earl & Clarence Olson, and sisters Mildred Olson, Corrine Johnson & Doris Myhre.
