Bernice A. Masberg, age 75, Kimball died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Gerald Mischke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Anne's Catholic Church from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday at the Church. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
Bernice Ann Masberg was born July 22, 1932 at Glencoe to Philip and Josephine (Gehlen) Bongaarts. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1950 and married Joseph Masberg on April 30, 1955 in St. Anne's Catholic Church. Bernice was a homemaker and a member of St. Anne's Church, Maine Prairie Merrymakers and Cloudy Town Good Sam Club. She enjoyed reading, needlework and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Kimball; seven children, Joan of Maple Grove, Barbara Masberg (Paul White) of Ellensburg, WA, Kathy (Barrie) Kletscher of Eagan, Jim (Paulette) of Watkins, Kris of St. Cloud, Carol of Maple Grove, Susan (Patrick) Mitzel of Bloomington; sisters, Phyllis Bruns of Buffalo, Mary Jo (Francis) Logeais of Annandale, Janice (Jim) Dircks of Plymouth; brother, John (Donna) Bongaarts of Delano; and six grandchildren, Joseph & Keith Masberg, Ellen & Diana Kletscher, Kelly & Scott Mitzel. Her parents and sister, Beatrice Kurkowski preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be John Bongaarts, Jim Masberg and Bernice's six grandchildren. The music for the service will be provided by St. Anne's Choir with Joan Zongo, organist.
