Benjamin J. Eder, age 83, of Kimball died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Church of Christ, Kimball with Pastor Steve Rowland officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Church from 5-8 p.m. Friday and also one hour prior to services.
Benjamin John Eder was born June 30, 1930 in St. Nicholas to Frank and Johanna (Albers) Eder. He grew up and lived his entire life in the Kimball area. On April 19, 1952 Ben was united in marriage to Ruthie Eleanor Stelton. He farmed in Maine Prairie Township and worked for Gold-N-Plump in Cold Spring. Ben loved wildlife, farm animals and family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Ruthie; children & their spouses Debbie & Larry Valiant of Forest City, John & Lynette Eder of Rockville, Gwen & Gary Koshiol of St. Stephen and Robin & Mike Ferrian of Kimball; siblings & their spouses Frannie Voerding of St. Paul, Albert & Rosie Eder of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Alvina Beckers of Watkins, Katie & Erwin Nistler of Maple Plain, Harold & Delores Eder of St. Paul and Frank & Sharon Eder of Watkins; 8 grandchildren Charity Valiant, Stephanie Neuman, Keith, Kevin & Nicholas Koshiol, Jessica & Amanda Gageby and Hailey Ferrian; 3 great grandchildren Joey & Brianna Neuman and Brooklyn Koshiol. He is preceded in death by his sisters Angela Eder and Monica Nelson.
Pallbearers will be Ben's eight grandchildren and the music for the service will be provided by Jamie Miller, Penny Blanchard and Sheri Goff. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
