Mrs. Beatrice I. Marohn, age 91, of Maple Lake died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Sunrise Cottages of Buffalo.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township, Wright County with Rev. Leland Bendix officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church. There will be a prayer service 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel in Maple Lake.
Beatrice Ione Marohn was born June 14, 1912 in rural Annandale to Alfred and Etta (McClay) Triplett. She was a 1932 graduate of Annandale High School. Beatrice married Arnold R. Marohn June 30, 1938; he preceded her in death April 11, 2000. She started teaching in 1933 and taught at various country schools for many years. She taught at Maple Lake Elementary School from 1971 until retiring in 1974. She lived in the Maple Lake and Annandale area all her life before moving to Buffalo 5 years ago. Beatrice was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township, Wright County. She loved her family, church, teaching, and friends.
Beatrice is survived by 3 children, Lana (Cliff) Nelson of Plymouth, Merle (Patricia) of Annandale, Cheryl (Ralph) Uecker of Maple Lake; sisters, Dorothy Olean and Geraldine (Don) Nelson both of Annandale; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Pallbearers will be Ralph & Mitch Uecker, Merle & David Marohn, Cliff Nelson, and Jason Martin. Music for the service provided by Ruth Goerke, organist and Jane Mol, soloist.
