Mr. Austin L. `Ike` Love, age 90, of South Haven died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow in Corinna Cemetery, Corinna Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Austin Luther `Ike` Love was born July 21, 1915 in Atwater to George and Gunda (Gulbranson) Love. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving in the 3111 Signal Corp. where he participated in five major campaigns including landing on Normandy Beach. Ike married Alice S. `Lolly` Spaude on April 1, 1949 in Windom and she preceded him in death on October 23, 1998. He was a plaster tender for Conroy Brothers in Minneapolis several years before retiring in 1973. He has lived in the Annandale and South Haven area since 1951. Ike was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale. He was known as a kind and affectionate man loved by all.
Ike is survived by a brother, Kenneth of Ohio; sister in law, Elvira Spaude of Minneapolis; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Norman; sisters, Sonja, Viola, and Helen.
Pallbearers will be Daryll Love, Daniel Spaude, Frank Schutte, Myron Spaude, Larry Schutte, and Allen Vadner. The organist for the funeral will be Julie Starke.
