Audrey E. Marquardt, age 85, of Kimball died on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Heritage House of Kimball.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Felska officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the service, Tuesday, at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Monday at the funeral chapel. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Audrey Edith Marquardt was born November 4, 1930 in Kimball to Darrell and Edith (Willford) Brower. She grew up in Kimball and graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1948. She continued her education at Minneapolis Business College. On August 26, 1950, Audrey was united in marriage to James Lester Marquardt in Kimball. Audrey worked with her husband at Land 'O Lakes Oil Company. For 20 years, she worked as an aid at Kimball Elementary. Audrey was a member of Kimball United Methodist Church, was treasurer of the Women's Church Circle, served as President of the Kimball Cemetery Association and was an active volunteer in Kimball. She loved time with family, especially on the Holiday's. Audrey enjoyed bowling, camping, attending church functions, high school sports and Kimball Express baseball games.
Audrey is survived by her son & his wife Thomas & Cindy of Kimball; daughter-in-law Sharon (Bruce) Fischer of Kimball; grandchildren Scott (Amanda), Brooks (Colleen), Brian, Trevor(Heidi) and Todd (Missy) Marquardt and Melanie (Andy) Knaus; great grandchildren Cade, Addi, Jaxon, Henry, Louis, Lane, Cameron, Kenzie and Travis Marquardt and Milly Knaus; nieces and nephews Connie (Ken) Rathje, Peggy Ecker, Jill (Tim) Gerharz, Dan (Barb) Johnson and Cory Johnson (Paul Amann). She is preceded in death by her parents Darrell and Edith Brower; husband James Marquardt; sons Ronald Marquardt and a stillborn son; infant grandchild Amy Marquardt; sisters Donna Jude and Edie Johnson; and brothers Robert Brower and 2 infant brothers.
Audrey's grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
