Armand P. Fleury, age 84 of Maple Lake died Friday, August 07, 2009 at the Annandale Care Center.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Pastor Peter J. Martinson will officiate and burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call one hour prior to services, Monday at the funeral home.

Armand Prime Fleury was born March 28, 1925 to Prime and Helen (Colby) Fleury in Minneapolis. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star and was most proud of his Combat Infantry Badge. Armand married Jean Wahl in New Brighton on January 21, 1950. He worked as a machinist for Wheeling Corrugating Company in North East Minneapolis for 42 years, retiring in 1989. Armand was an amateur radio operator "HAM" since 1958 under the call sign K0MVE. He was also a handyman that could and would fix anything.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean; children, Linda (Don) Holm of Clearbrook, Kathleen (Mark) Dacko of Brooklyn Park, Bruce (Linda) Fleury of Detroit Lakes, Joni (Gary) Ludwig of Fairhaven and Diane (Randy) Troppman of Buffalo; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Dan Dacko, Chris Holm, Carrie Haugan, Kelly Buffington, Jamie Holm, Monica Hawkes, Andrew Troppman, Trent Fleury, Gena Troppman and Matthew Ludwig. Chris and Jamie Holm will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
