Ann Marie Thoren, age 88, of Annandale, formerly of South Minneapolis, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Annandale Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Lakewood Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis.  The Rev. Cathy Carpenter will officiate.  Burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.  Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.

Ann Marie Thoren was born December 31, 1925 in Minneapolis to James and Minnie (Peters) Moir.  She graduated from Minneapolis South High School with the Class of 1944.  On May 19, 1956, she was united in marriage to Lennart Thoren in Minneapolis; he preceded her in death on February 12, 1981.  Ann was a member of The Episcopal Church of St. James on the Parkway in Minneapolis and of the Southside Singers.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers James and Harold Moir; and sisters Katherine Schoengge, Clara Cowdrey and Evelyn Mackie.

Pallbearers will be Ann's nephews and great nephews.  Lawrence Henry will provide the music for the services.
