Andrew R. Bogatzki, age 59, of South Haven died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kimball with Rev. Dave Milz officiating. Interment will be at the Eden Lake Cemetery, Eden Valley. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 6 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
Andrew Roger Bogatzki was born July 5, 1952 at Eden Valley to Albert and Evelyn (Grassinger) Bogatzki. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He graduated from Eden Valley High School and Brainerd Vo-Tech. He was an electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 292 of Minneapolis and worked at Mies Electric, Twin Cities Electric, RT Electric and Manor Electric. He was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, ABATE of Minnesota and the Kimball Rod & Gun Club and a former member of the Kimball Fire Department. Andrew enjoyed hunting, trapshooting, riding his motorcycle and traveling. He loved his children, grandchildren and mother in law. He was very grateful to have his wife and soul mate.
He is survived by his wife Kathy of South Haven, children Evie (Dave) Hengel of Kimball, Jesse (Shelly) of Kingston, Joe (Michelle) of Litchfield, seven grandchildren Ashley, Justin, Andrew, Darion, Kendra, A.J. & Jacob and one due in August, brothers & sisters Ervin (Kathy) of Bertha, Velma Young of Alexandria, Richard (Lorrinda) of Albany, Lucille (David) Penkert of Hector, Norman (Kathy) of Cold Spring and mother in law Rosella Quast of Winsted. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Albert Tony, sisters Evelyn Hix & Dorothy Kalkbrenner, brothers-in-law, and nieces & nephews.
The urn bearers will be his three children and honorary urn bearers will be his grandchildren.
