Alice Mae Rozenberg, age 97, of Buffalo, formerly of Maple Lake died Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 at Silver Creek Community Church with Pastor Marlin Meendering officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Creek. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church. A prayer service will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Alice Mae Rozenberg was born May 30, 1909 in Maple Lake Township to C. David and Jennie P. (Vandergon) Bryant. She married Dick Rozenberg on February 15, 1928 and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1971. Alice lived her entire life in the Maple Lake area, where she worked on the family dairy farm and kept busy with her sewing and crocheting. The layettes, mittens and Afghans she made kept many little ones and not so little ones warm. She was a member of the Silver Creek Community Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Aide. Alice was also a member of the Silver Creek Senior Citizens. Her patience, wisdom and guidance will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children & their spouses, Melvin and Bonnie of Maple Lake and Lois and Royce Mueller of Buffalo; son-in-law and his wife, Raymond and Elaine Hanson of Excelsior; sisters-in-law, Christina of Howard Lake and Arlene of Annandale; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Irene Hanson in 1987; brothers, Harold and Oliver Bryant; sister, Gertrude Posthumus; and an infant granddaughter.
The pallbearers will be Clyde and Allen Hanson, Steven Mueller, Todd and Sheila Rozenberg, Kimberly Law, Kathy Jensen and Linda Niedzielski. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
