Obituary
Mrs. Alberta C. Glazier, age 78, of Annandale died Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel in Annandale.
Alberta Catherine Glazier was born April 21, 1925 in Annandale to John F. and Agnes T. (Barthel) Powers. She married Edward `Eddie` Glazier August 20, 1946 in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale; he preceded her in death January 26, 2001. Alberta and Eddie owned and operated Glazier`s Coast to Coast Hardware Store in Annandale for 30 years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she was past president of Council of Catholic Women and former choir director. Alberta was a member of Camp Friendship Auxiliary, Annandale Improvement Club, and Maple Lake Legion Auxiliary Post #131.
Alberta is survived by sons, Sonny `Greg` Glazier and friend, Nancy Fiske of Annandale, Mike Aitchison and friend, Denise Liebl of Annandale; daughters, Jan (Mike) Rivers of Annandale, Diane (Robert) Kelly of Eagle River, AK; brother, Francis (Acquinas) Powers of Los Osos, CA; sister in law, Dorothy Powers of Scottsdale, AZ; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven; and brother, Norman.
Pallbearers will be Greg, Grant, Garett, and Gavin Glazier, Adam Liebl, and Don Hozempa. Music for the funeral provided by Krista Elsenpeter.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
