Tabea “Toby” I. Soltow, age 93, of Annandale, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred.

Tabea Irma Soltow was born April 9, 1923 to William and Irma (Jopp) Oestreich near Howard Lake, Minnesota. Tabea grew up on the family farm near Hutchinson where she also attended school. On May 6, 1942 Tabea was united in marriage to Vernon R. Soltow at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Toby and Vernon lived in Hutchinson and Litchfield prior to moving their family to Annandale in 1961. While also raising their three daughters, Toby also worked outside the home for Buffalo Dry Cleaners, retiring after 25 years. After her retirement, Toby worked cleaning homes. She was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she also sang in the choir. Toby enjoyed tending to her yard and gardens, cooking, cats, and playing cards. She liked the many visits she and Vernon had with their dear friends. Her faith and her family was of the utmost importance.

Toby is survived by her two daughters, Sandra (Floyd) Nelson of Maple Lake and Merridee Soltow of Raleigh, N.C.; son-in-law, Gabriel Davidson of Annandale; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Toby was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Theresa “Terry” Davidson, and brother Raymond Oestreich.

Tabea’s grandchildren will serve as urnbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
