Robert W. Moynagh, age 74, of Annandale died Friday, December 7, 2018 in hospice care at the St. Cloud VA Heath Care System Medical Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale with Fr. Andrew Stueve as the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church before Mass. Entombment will take place at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Memorials are preferred to the Maple Lake American Legion Club 0131.

Robert Walin Moynagh, Sr. was born in Minneapolis to Walter Moynagh, Sr. and Ruth (Walin) Moynagh on January 14, 1944. He grew up in Minneapolis. Bob enjoyed the water and would spend his summers at their cabin on Lake Waverly. He graduated with the Class of 1962 from Minneapolis Central High School. He served his country with the US Navy from 1964-1966 during the Viet Nam War. He continued on in the Naval Reserve for an additional four years. He was a member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 34, working as a mechanical insulator for 42 years. Bob also owned a bowling alley in Dassel for four years. In 1988, Bob was united in marriage to Janet Rader Jacobson. They made Sugar Lake, near Annandale, their home and spent winters in Sun Village, Surprise, AZ. Bob was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Maple Lake American Legion. He was a lifelong baseball fan; he played for his high school team and as well as playing and managing town baseball with the Waverly Stingers. In retirement, Bob loved to play golf and was a member at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Annandale, MN and at Sun Village Golf Course in Surprise, AZ.

Bob is survived by his wife Janet; sons Robert Moynagh, Jr. of Watertown and Jeffrey (Tirina) Moynagh of Winona; step sons Michael (Lisa) Jacobson of Eden Prairie and Bob (Jayne) Jacobson of Coto de Caza, CA; special daughter Tracy (Wade) Gurneau of Montrose; twelve grandchildren: Robert III "Kirby", Alex, Taylor, Rhyanna, Liam, Kiara, Anthony, Andrew and Peter Moynagh, Abigail and Molly Jacobson; step-granddaughter Maddy Kranz, two great grandchildren Carter and Lillian Moynagh; twin sister Ruthann Dickhausen of North Branch; brother Bruce (Cece) Moynagh of Summerfield, FL; sisters-in-law Betty Moynagh, Peggy Rader and Ruth Burke; brother-in-law Bob (Vonnie) Rader; many nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; step mother Catherine Moynagh, brother Walt Moynagh, Jr.; brother-in-law Don Rader; and sisters-in-law Joan Rader Mundell and Bette Rader Malone.

The casket bearers will be Jerry, Mike, Kirby and Taylor Moynagh, Tracy and Wade Gurneau, Tom Smart and Wally Larson. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
