Robert M. Leet, age 96, of Maple Lake, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Maple Lake with Rev. Culynn Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday, at the church.

Robert Murry Leet was born on March 19, 1922 in Minneapolis to Dayton and Viola (Knutson) Leet. He grew up in Minneapolis. Bob enlisted in the US Army and served in the European Theater of WWII. He reenlisted and served state-side during the Korean War. On December 19, 1942, Bob was united in marriage to DeLores Jouppe in Minneapolis. They lived in Brooklyn Park, Crystal and Robbinsdale. In 1996 they moved to Maple Lake and DeLores died in 1998. Bob worked as a driver - salesman for Ewing Distributing, Pohle Distributing and Mark VII; he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Maple Lake American Legion Post 131 and Maple Lake VFW Post 7664, and was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Son's of Norway Lodge in Minneapolis. Bob enjoyed helping with Boy Scouts, being at their Cedar Lake home and spending time with family.

He is survived by his children Barbara (Larry) Thomsen of Maple Lake, Bruce Leet of Albertville, Jon (Deborah) Leet of Forest Lake, Brian Leet of South Haven and James (Michelle) Leet of Monticello; seven grandchildren David Thomsen, Jennifer Lindquist, Julie Gunnarson, Shawn Leet, Amy Leet, Jessica Pariona and Heather Gleason; sixteen great grandchildren Noah, Emma, Isaac, Christopher, Jacob, Luke, Abigail, Madelyn, Devin, Natalie, Lauren, Ellie, Landon, Sicily, Ethan and Mia; step mother Dolores Block of Crystal; step brothers Don (Barbara) Block of Anoka and Jerry Block of Crystal; and step sister Jolene Carpenter of Wisconsin. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Dayton Leet and Viola Knutson; wife DeLores Leet; and step-brother Doug Block.

Bob's grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. Jennifer Lindquist, Sue Nelson and Wendy Clark will provide the music for the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Minnesota National Guard Honor Guard and the joint honor guard of the Maple Lake American Legion and the Maple Lake VFW. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
