Richard A. Golembeck, age 79, of Annandale died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the St Cloud Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow at Corinna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday also at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. on Monday at the church.

Richard Arno Golembeck was born November 25, 1937 to Arno and Lorraine (Bartosiewski) Golembeck in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was baptized on December 12, 1937 at his home in St. Cloud and was confirmed in his faith on June 22, 1952 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Richard graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1956. Following his high school graduation, Richard attended the University of Minnesota. On June 28, 1958, Richard was united in marriage to Beverly Elfmann at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. Following their marriage, Richard and Beverly resided in the Twin Cities prior to returning to Annandale in 1969. Richard worked for Honeywell for 22 years as a tool & die maker, while also farming. He retired from Hutchinson Technology in 1999 and then drove truck. Richard and Beverly also owned and operated Country Café, near Annandale. Richard was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he served as a trustee and financial treasurer. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed the outdoors by participating in fishing, hunting, and camping. He liked to play cards and appreciated watching and reading a good western.

Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly of Annandale; children, Diane (Dan) Powers of Barrett, JoAnn (Kirk) Jacoby of Elbow Lake, Suzanne (Mike) Koep of Fergus Falls, Cindy (Ron) Maas of Waconia, and Patty (Mike) Leinonen of Annandale; 9 grandchildren, Tammy, Laura, Matthew, Nicholas, Michelle, Katie, Jennifer, Ryan, and Lisa; 5 great grandchildren, Morgan, Brandon, Kirk, Ainsley, and Emma; and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Shirley & Milo Karie, and foster grandson, David Harcey.

Matthew Jacoby, Nicholas Jacoby, Aaron Froemming, Ryan Maas, Jared Langley, and Terry Taylor will serve as pallbearers with Matt Goede, Dustin Nicka, Kirby Nicka, Jeremy Schmidt, and Shaun Schmidt serving as honorary pallbearers. Arrangments are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
