Pearl M. Fobbe, age 81, of Maple Lake died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Lakeside Oasis Hospice of Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake.
Pearl Manda Fobbe was born October 2, 1936 in French Lake Township to Gustav and Amanda (Opsahl) Walberg. On May 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to Mark Fobbe at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake; they remained members of St. Tim’s the rest of their lives. Pearl and Mark lived in Maple Lake where they were blessed with 8 children. Pearl enjoyed bird watching, baking, cooking, canning, sewing, quilting and reading. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Pearl is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mark; children David of Annandale, Mark, Jr. of Duluth, Julie of Maple Lake, Lois (John) Wurm of Buffalo, Ronald of Annandale and Kristina Meintsma of South Haven; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters Gladys Peterson of Howard Lake, Arlene Buranen of Annandale and Elsie (Ed) Sund of Silverdale, WA; and sisters-in-law Patricia Walberg of Fridley, Irene Walberg of Brainerd and Nola Walberg of South Haven. She is preceded in death by her parents; son Daniel; daughter Michelle; daughter-in-law Dawn; sisters Celeste Lange and Bernice Johnson; and brothers Milton, Alden, Ernold, John, Clifford and Russell.
Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Goelz will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
