Patricia Arlene (Rich) Galles

Patricia A. Galles, age 74, of Annandale, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake with Rev. Culynn Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service, both at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the church.

Patricia Arlene Galles was born July 31, 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dennis and May (Chapman) Rich. Patricia grew up with her family in Inver Grove Heights and attended school in South St. Paul, graduating with the Class of 1963. Upon graduation, Patricia went to work for a bank. On July 25, 1964 she was united in marriage to Charles LeRoy Galles at First Methodist Church in Inver Grove Heights. They moved to a hobby farm in Cologne, where they were blessed with their 4 children. During their 17 years in Cologne, Patricia worked for the Chaska school district as a cook, in addition to raising her children. In 1982, they moved to the Annandale area. Over the years, Patricia continued her work as a line cook for various establishments. She also volunteered her time at Bendix Elementary for many years. In her younger years, Patricia enjoyed talking on the phone and gathered a large collection of romance novels of the years. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and going to garage sales. Patricia and her special friend, Mary Dahlke, made many quilts and afghans over the years. Some of the lucky recipients of those quilts were residents of area nursing homes and the Ronald McDonald House. Patricia’s faith has always been at the center of her life. She always made it a priority for her and her family to attend worship services.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles of Annandale; children, Roger (Tamie) of Goodyear, AZ, Laura Anderson of Annandale, Kimberly (Eugene) Kubat of Rice, and Randy (Marianne) Galles of Buffalo; 8 grandchildren, Zack, Amber, Jeffrey, Kathryn, Michael, Nathan, Jacob, and Kevin; siblings, Melvin (Diane) Rich of White Bear Lake, and Betty (Russ) Carter of South St. Paul; and nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Mary Rich and sister-in-law, Darlene Rich.

Kevin Anderson, Nathan Galles, Jeffrey Kubat, Roger Galles, Randy Galles, and Eugene Kubat will serve as pallbearers. Jen Podolske will provide music for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
