Mary Jo A. Miceli, age 74, of Plymouth, formerly Maple Lake, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake with Rev. Culynn Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Mary Jo was born September 4, 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Wayne L. and Frances H. (Ross) Miler. She graduated in 1962 from Our Lady of Peace High School and afterwards went on to receive her Minnesota Board of Nursing Certificate in 1963. Mary Jo worked as a nurse for several years before pursuing other interests. She was married to Ronald J. Yager from 1965 until 1972 and together they had 3 beautiful children. In 1974 she married Michael J. Miceli in Watertown, South Dakota. They chose to raise their family in Maple Lake where they were very involved in church and community. After Mike’s death in 2005 Mary Jo moved to Plymouth. She was a member of the Wayzata American Legion Post #118 Auxiliary. Mary Jo loved her family, enjoyed making cards, karaoke, cooking, baking and treating everyone to her famous banana bread and cookies.
Mary Jo is survived by her 3 children, Kim (Ken) Bade of Arlington, MN, Jeff Yager of Maple Lake and Jennifer (Brian) Weese of Buffalo; significant other Joe Jimenez of Plymouth; brother Dan (Mary) Miler of Afton; sister in law Kathy Kennedy; brothers in law John Miceli and Mark DuCharme; 15 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Mary Jo’s children will serve as urn bearers Her granddaughter Bridget Weese will provide special music for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
