Luella Leola Opsahl, age 93, of Annandale, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Annandale Care Center.

Memorial Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Annandale. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Private burial will take place at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in French Lake Township.

Luella Leola Opsahl was born February 5, 1924 in French Lake Township to Albert and Vinie (Sandlund) Nelson. She grew up in French Lake Township and attended school in Litchfield and Cokato. On December 20, 1941, Luella was united in marriage to William Opsahl in Kingston, Minnesota. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Annandale. While also caring for their home and raising their children, Luella worked at a sewing factory for 25 years. She loved to sew. She enjoyed gardening, her faith community and life on the farm.

Luella is survived by her children, Bernice (Tom) Follmer of Elk River, William M. Opsahl of Fairhaven, Kenneth (Cindy) Opsahl of Kimball, Mary Lee (David) Hettinger of Beckley, West Virginia, Paul (Betty) Opsahl of Dassel, and Dennis Opsahl of Annandale; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Cora Carletta of Woodbury, Glenn Nelson of Staples, Clayton Nelson of Chisago City, Vernon (Carol) Nelson of Minong, WI, Donald Nelson of North Branch, and Robert (Carol) Nelson of Mesa, Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Luella was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, daughter Elaine Marie, and siblings Lloyd Nelson, Betty Block, and Donna Payne.

Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
