Lois Carlson Obituary

Lois M. Carlson, age 75, of Maple Lake, died January 1, 2020 at her home on Maple Lake with her loving husband and family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Juettner as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00-10:00 a.m on Monday, both at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Lois Marie Carlson was born September 29, 1944 in Maple Lake, Minnesota to Leo and Cecelia (Davis) Pribyl. Lois grew up in Maple Lake, where she attended school and graduated with the Class of 1962. On June 6, 1964, Lois was united in marriage to Gary H. Carlson at St. Timothy Catholic Church. They lived in the Wayzata area for 11 years, before returning to Maple Lake to make their home. Lois worked as an office manager at MP Utilities for 38 years, until her retirement in 2011. Lois was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, as well at the CCW. Upon their return to Maple Lake, Lois started the Maple Lake Bowling League, and was also a member of the Maple Lake Chamber of Commerce, Maple Lake Property Owner's Association, Sherwood Forest Association, and the Maple Lake Jaycees. Lois also volunteered with Love INC. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed the card club, bowling, sewing, gardening, playing bingo, and cooking. Above all, Lois cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

Lois is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary of Maple Lake; children, Stephen (fiancee, Michelle) of Key West, FL, Trent (Cheryl) of Buffalo, Connie (Don) Schauf of Waller, TX, Heidi (Bryan) Russell of Buford, GA, Cory (Deb) of Buffalo; daughter-in-law, Debbie Carlson of Buffalo; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry (Karen) Pribyl of Houston, TX, Bonnie (Richard) Erdahl of Maple Lake, Tim (Pam) Pribyl of Maple Lake, and Jackie (Dan) Wurm of Buffalo; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Cecelia Pribyl, and son, Mark.

Lois's children will serve as urn bearers. Krista Elsenpeter and Shannon Paumen will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
