Larry D. Schumacher, age 65, of Annandale died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home in Annandale.  

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating.  Burial will be 12 p.m. Friday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at Assembly Area 5.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Larry Donald Schumacher was born November 23, 1947 in Minneapolis to Maurice and Mildred (Hochstein) Schumacher.  He graduated from Cooper High School in New Hope with the Class of 1965.  Larry served his country during the Vietnam War with the 173rd Airborne Division.  During his service, he was awarded two Purple Hearts.  Larry worked for Countryside Heating and Cooling in Maple Plain for the past 23 years.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, listening to music, reading and spending time with his kids.

He is survived by his son Lance & his wife Nicki of Annandale; daughter Ashley Abraham & her husband Dan of McHenry, ND; step daughter Tiffany Salo & her husband Jacob of Eden Valley; parents Maurice & Mildred of Zimmerman; brothers & their spouses Dennis & Audrey of Arden Hills, Craig & Chris of Watertown and Byron of Foley.

The pallbearers will be Luke Schumacher, Travis Schumacher, John Schumacher, Mike Schumacher, Jake Schumacher, Dylan Schumacher, Charlie Schumacher and Jeana Schumacher.  Julie Starke will provide the music for the service.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
