Julie M. Traina, age 52, of Annandale, formerly of Chaska and Spring Lake Park, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home with family at her side.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Dennis Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday and 10-11 a.m. on Friday, both at the church. Memorials are preferred to MN ADOPT.
Julie Marie Traina was born April 29, 1966 in Robbinsdale to William and Sharon (Evans) McDearmon. She was baptised and confirmed in her faith at Sunrise United Methodist Church in Mounds View and grew up in Spring Lake Park, graduating with the Class of 1984. She continued her education in accounting at the University of Minnesota Morris and graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. On February 18, 1989, Julie was united in marriage to Martin Traina at Sunrise United Methodist Church in Mounds View. They began their life together in St. Louis Park and moved to Chaska to raise their family in 1991; in 2016 they moved to Annandale. They belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church in Chaska. Julie worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at the St. Cloud Hospital. She enjoyed reading, completing puzzles, playing games and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Julie is survived by her husband of 29 years Marty; son Nate Traina of St. Cloud; daughter Aly Traina of St. Cloud; grandchildren Bennett and Kayden Traina; parents Bill and Sharon McDearmon of Spring Lake Park; sister Kelly (Kyle) McCann of Clear Lake; brother Jeremy (Katy) McDearmon of Marine on St. Croix; mother-in-law and father-in-law Ann and Al Traina of Peoria, AZ; brothers-in-law Paul (Pam) Traina and Tom (Michele) Traina; sister-in-law Doreen (Rich) Slabaugh; 2 uncles and 4 aunts; many nieces, nephews and friends.
