James Loren Jackson

James L. Jackson, Sr., age 72, of Annandale died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Cottagewood Memory Care in Buffalo.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Annandale United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. Visitation will take place 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday, both at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.

James Loren Jackson, Sr. was born March 17, 1946 in Robbinsdale to Virgil and Edna (Raguet) Jackson. He graduated with the Class of 1965 from Annandale High School. Jim served his country with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. On August 16, 1967, he was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Blair in Annandale. Jim worked as a copy machine repair technician for the Central Minnesota Educational Research and Development Council, retiring in 2015. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Minnesota Deer Hunting Association. Jim enjoyed spending time at the hunting land up north, fishing, and was immensely proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A more devoted grandfather could not be found.

He is survived by four sons James, Jr. (Shannon) of Annandale, Jeffrey (Kris) of Annandale, Justin of Annandale and Jeremy of Maple Lake; 13 grandchildren Tyler, Kayla, Kendra, Kyle, Shelby, Mariah, Alexus, Zachary, Zarra, Zarae, Zeth, JorDyn and Dallas; and 4 great grandchildren Kimber, Jackson, Aiden and Hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Edna; wife Barbara; an infant son; and an infant grandson Cote.

The casket bearers will be Jason Flygare, Jeff Nelson, Nathan Raisanen, Shane Harner, Troy Baumen and Derek Miller. Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide the music for the service. Military honors will be provided by the Minnesota Army National Guard Honor Guard and the joint honor guard of the Maple Lake American Legion & Maple Lake V.F.W.
