Gladys Marie (Fischer) Olson

Gladys M. Olson, 87 years and 24 days old, of Kimball, died surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Heritage House in Kimball, where she has lived the past ten years.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Kimball United Methodist Church, Kimball with Pastor Ken Felska officiating. Burial will follow at Fairhaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church in Kimball.

Gladys Marie Olson was born July 17, 1932 in Cedar Mills, MN to Anton H. and Cordelia E. (Dallmann) Fischer. She was united in marriage to Roger Olson and from this union four children were born. Gladys lived most of her life in the Cokato area where she was a homemaker and worked various jobs. Gladys loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, animals, cranberry picking, working with seed corn and harvest was her love in life. With her family she was rich. Gladys will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children, Mary Lee (Bruce) Leinonen of Annandale and their children, Aaron, Hannah and Mark (Hannah), Nancy Olson of Cokato and her "fur babies", Mabel and Pearl, Doug Olson and special friend, Shannon of Cokato and his children, Travis (Ashley), Cody, Madeline and Neenah, Leslie Ann (Tim) Peglow of Kimball and their children, Paige (Ryan), Preston and Parker; two precious great grandchildren, Reed and Kinley (children of Travis & Ashley); sister, Jean Best of Glenwood City, WI; sister-in-law, Helen Fischer of Glencoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John and his wife LaVerne, Fred, David and his wife Marge; sister, Frieda Hennessey; niece, Susan Fischer; niece-in-law, Sue Hennessey.
