Garnet J. (Meintsma) Ludemann, age 87, formerly of Maple Lake and Buffalo died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Monticello-Big Lake Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Silver Creek Community Church with Rev. Tim Overweg officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Creek Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.

Garnet Jeanette Ludemann was born to Allen and Belle (Miller) Rand on January 21, 1920 and in 1939 she graduated from South High School, Minneapolis. She married Stanley Meintsma on November 30, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1970. She married Donald Ludemann on February 3, 1979 and he preceded her in death in 1986. Garnet was a homemaker while raising 11 children, also doing other babysitting & cleaning work. She was a member of Silver Creek Community Church and Camp Friendship Auxiliary.

She is survived by children, Sharon Rosenbush of Amery, WI, Marlys Quiring of Buffalo, Norene (Conrad) Gramsey of Big Lake, Carol (Clyde) Teel of Booneville, MS, Patty Schut of Brooklyn Park, Ronald Meintsma of St. Cloud, Julietta (Louis) Wurdemann of Coon Rapids, Michael (Sue) Meintsma of Monticello, Jeffery Meintsma of Omaha, NE, Rodney (friend Judy) Meintsma of Coon Rapids, Corrine (Clint) Colvin of Morris, OK; sisters in law, Delores Rand of Bloomington, June Slager of Argyle, WI; 28 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, son Russell, grandson Mark Otterson, brothers Allen & Monte Rand, and sisters Bonnie Pirske, Ruth Andersen & Belva Winkelman.

The pallbearers will be Jeremy, Ryan, Jesse & Melissa Meintsma, Chuck Rosenbush, David Weers, Kevin Schut and Derrik Serfling. The music for the service will be provided by Orma Lou Jacobsma, organist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
