Faye E. Verdon, age 58, of Annandale died July 24, 2017 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Albion Evangelical Free Church near Cokato with Rev. Philip Geoffrion officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Monday, at the church.

Faye Ellen Verdon was born May 1, 1959 at St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul to Delano and Leona (Schlueter) Heinecke. She grew up in the Cedar Mills area and attended high school in Cosmos. Faye worked as a Personal Care Attendant with REM and Visiting Angels. She loved the work of caring for others and was excellent at her job. Faye was engaged to be married to Gary Eckstein in October. She enjoyed traveling; her trip to Alaska and her short road trips with Gary were some of her favorites. Faye loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and family, flowers and butterflies.

Faye is survived by her fiancé Gary Eckstein of Annandale; daughters Christy (Korey) Krueger of Atwater and Elizabeth “Lisa” Verdon of Annandale; grandchildren Taylor, Bailey and Isaac Krueger, Jewel, Jazmin and Kylie Ann Walker; mother Leona Heinecke of Motley; sister June (Terry) Little of Brunswick, GA; and brothers Mark Heinecke of Motley and Dean (Wanda) Heinecke of Hugo. She is preceded in death by her father Delano Heinecke and sister Barbara Geisler.

Faye’s six grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Norma Geoffrion will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
