Evelyn A. Stofferahn, age 94, of Annandale, MN died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Annandale Care Center.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Funeral Services held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating.  Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Humboldt, SD.

Evelyn Amanda Stofferahn was born July 12, 1916 at Hartford, SD to Carl and Alma (Maehl) Heiden.  She married Harry Stofferahn on November 26, 1935 and for many years they farmed near Humboldt, SD.  Evelyn was a homemaker and worked other jobs including making alterations for clothing stores.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale, and the Annandale Senior Citizen’s.

She is survived by her four children Verlyn “Lynn” & Jerry Thomas of Maple Lake, MN, Janet Naumann of Bullhead City, AZ, Colleen & John van Sytzama of Maple Lake, Kevin Stofferahn of Humboldt, brother Chester & Shirley Heiden of Hartford, SD, sister Lorna Ellens of Hartford, 14 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988, brothers Willard & Elmer Heiden, and sister Lucille Klinghagen.

The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale and Kinzley Funeral Home of Hartford.
