Elizabeth "Bette" Cantin, age 78, of Colorado Springs, CO formerly of Maple Lake, MN, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery, East Maple Lake. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorials are preferred to Multiple Sclerosis Research.
Elizabeth Ann Cantin was born on April 2, 1941 in Maple Lake to Ernest and Florence (Mueller) Pribyl. She graduated from Maple Lake High School with the Class of 1959. On October 1, 1960, she was united in marriage to Harold Cantin at St. Timothy Catholic Church. They were blessed with three children. Bette worked as a secretary at Maple Lake Public Schools, retiring as District Business Manager in 2001. Bette enjoyed wintering in Alabama and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Annette) Cantin of Colorado Springs; four grandchildren, Jamie (Eric) Kummer, Anthony Wolff, Amanda Cantin (Fiance, Jason Devlin) and Sarah (Adam) Dunn; three great grandchildren, Caleb, Eli and Deacon Kummer; brothers and sisters, Ernest (Butch) Pribyl of Buffalo, Jean (Charles) Christopherson of Battle Lake, Deb (Brad) Norine of Annandale and Keith (Melissa) Pribyl of St. Paul; son-in-law, Scott Lilja; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris (Jim) Bayerl, Rose Dahlin (friend, Bill Wagner) and Lester (Linda) Cantin. Bette is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Florence Pribyl; husband, Harold Cantin; daughters, Nancy Wolff and Linda Lilja; and great granddaughter, Rylee Kummer.
The casket bearers will be Dan Coffin, Mark Obinger, John Cantin, Scott Lilja, Anthony Wolff and Eric Kummer. The honorary casket bearers will be Thalia Garcia and Yarima Herrera. Krista Elsenpeter and Sarah Goelz will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
