David Richard Kahn was born March 29, 1940, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Nathan and Mable Frances (Rastad) Kahn. David grew up in Minneapolis and attended school there, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1957. He furthered his education at the University of Minnesota, earning a degree in mathematics. On September 9, 1961, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth M. Command in Richfield. They were blessed with 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter. They later divorced. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. David experienced a true conversion and loved God with all of his heart.
