Darrell L. Kelly, age 84, of Annandale died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Annandale Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the Gathering Space of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and also one hour prior to services on Monday.  There will be a prayer service 5:00 p.m. Sunday.  Memorials are preferred to St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery or Clare’s Well.

Darrell Leo Kelly was born April 11, 1928 to Joseph and Doris (Wenzel) Kelly on the farm in Southside Township that he lived his entire lifetime.  He graduated from Annandale High School and married Ellen J. Hermann on November 8, 1952 in St. Ignatius Catholic Church.  Darrell was a member of St. Ignatius Church where he was an Usher and Cemetery Chairman & Sexton.  He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, traveling, aviation, and his family.

He is survived by his wife Ellen of Annandale, sons Steven (Sandra) of Coolidge, AZ, Kent (Patricia) of Eden Valley, Brian (Sandra) of Eagan, sisters Dolores (Arnold) Ervasti of Coon Rapids, Colleen Magrum of Richfield, brother Tom (Fran) of South Haven, grandchildren Brett (Jana), Bradley (Melissa), Brandon (Becky), & Michael Kelly, and great grandchildren Shannon, Jackson, Brady, & Grant Kelly.  His brothers Richard and Robert preceded him in death.

The pallbearers will be Brett, Bradley, Brandon, & Michael Kelly, Mark Marohn, and Tom Johnson.  The St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide music for the service and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
