Dale Kent Rasmusson

Dale K. Rasmusson, age 70, of Maple Lake, formerly of Minneapolis, died peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2019 at his home on Sugar Lake after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August, 12, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, Monticello with Pastor Paul Nichol officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, August 11, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

Dale Kent Rasmusson was born July 24, 1949 in Minneapolis to Manferd and Irene (Lillquist) Rasmusson. He graduated from Wayzata High School and continued his education at Augsburg University. Dale served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He made a career managing several Country Club Market stores. He also managed New Market Grocery where he met his wife, Lois Schwagel. They were married on September 13, 1996 at Faith Lutheran Church near Monticello. Dale retired from Graco in Minneapolis as a warehouse supervisor. Dale and Lois made Sugar Lake their home. Friends and family would often gather at the lake to enjoy time together. Dale was an avid golfer that achieved three hole-in-ones. He enjoyed sports, especially the Vikings, spending time with his family and hanging out with his dogs. Dale was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend; he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lois; daughter, Shari Rasmusson (Tony Marrone) of St. Paul; son, Tobin (Jenny) Rasmusson of Bloomington; his dogs, Rocki and Haylei; four grandchildren, Ashley, Olivia, Eliana and Brennan; one great granddaughter, Aubry; sister, Barbara (Warren) White of Wayzata; and many other family and friends.

The urn bearers will be Grant Schwagel, Blake Schwagel, Nicole Henrichs and Julia Wragg. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
