Catherine Agnes (Zeller) Borell

Catherine A. Borell, age 82, of Maple Lake, died on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Lakeside Oasis Hospice of Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo with family at her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. Andrew Stueve as the Celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. on Friday and 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral chapel. A private burial will take place at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Catherine Agnes Borell was born February 27, 1936 in Waverly to Philip and Josephine (Steinkogler) Zeller. She grew up in Waverly and graduated with the Class of 1954 from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Waverly. She continued her education at Burroughs Bookkeeping School in Minneapolis. Cathy worked in accounts receivable at Dahl's Pharmacy for 2 years and as a secretary for Maple Lake Schools for 22 years. She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, St. Timothy CCW and Resurrection Choir, Sam Quilters, the Maple Lake American Legion Auxiliary and was a former Cub Scout leader. Cathy enjoyed spending time with family, quilting, biking, fishing and dancing.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim; children Tim (Ruth) Borell of Maple Lake, Ralph (Laurie) Borell of Buffalo, Carol (Bob) Latour of Buffalo and Ron (Sandy) Borell of Ramsey; 11 grandchildren Becky, Barbie, Tara, Michael, Brad, Bridget, Paul, Sarah, Rachel, Jeff and Dan; 9 great grandchildren Madison, Natalie, Ryan, Sabrina, Jaxon, Jayden, Mack, Anna and Cody; sisters Vi Asgian of Minneapolis, Mary Grotz of Delano and Rose (Wayne) Malachek of Maple Lake; brother Ed (Labelle) Zeller of Brooklyn Park and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Gertrude Donovan; and brother Bob Zeller.

The casket bearers will be Michael Kuiper, Brad Borell, Paul Latour, Chris Pelletier, Scott Bruska and Matthew Howard. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
