Byron B. Churchill, age 75, of Maple Lake, died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at CentraCare Health-Monticello.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake with Father Marty Shallbetter as the Celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
Byron Bruce Churchill was born October 22, 1944 in Armstrong, IA to Leslie R. and Irene (Wesemann) Churchill. He graduated in 1963 from Howard Lake High School. On November 27, 1964 Byron was united in marriage to Mary J. Stock in Buffalo. Byron and Mary lived in Montrose for many years before moving to Maple Lake in 1993. He was a quality controller with Chesley F. Carlson Co., Plymouth for 40 years before retiring in 2006. Byron loved his family, enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and fishing. He was recently inducted into the Minnesota Trap Shooting Hall of Fame.
Byron is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary of Maple Lake; sons, Jim (Jody) of Maple Lake and Tim (Teresa) of Monticello; daughter, Theresa Korbel of Delano; sisters, Doris Jakes of Howard Lake and Donna (Ken) Fitchwell of Winsted; grandchildren, Lenora, Noelle, Stephanie and Courtney; 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth and Robert, and grandson Christopher.
