Bernice E. Wilson, age 96, of Annandale, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Annandale Care Center.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery near Annandale. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, Wednesday, at the church.

Bernice Eva Wilson was born February 3, 1921 in Fergus Falls to Walter and Mildred (Cummings) Eastman. She grew up in the Pine City area. Bernice worked as a laundress for American Linen in Sioux City, IA and Minneapolis. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Busy Needles. Bernice was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She enjoyed crocheting, completing word puzzles and jig saw puzzles, traveling and playing games. Bernice was generous with her time and money, especially with Veteran’s groups and the Annandale Care Center. She was a recipient of the Annandale Care Center Volunteer of the Year Award. Above all, Bernice was a loving and loyal mother, grandmother and friend.

Bernice is survived by her children, Shirley (Ralph) Brotherton of Quinlan, TX, Gary Theisen of Quinlan, TX, Linda (Ed) Schmitz of Annandale, Janet Pearson of Sibley, IA, Kathy Ownby of Sibley, IA, Jody Theisen of Coon Rapids and Gail Paterson of Coon Rapids; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mildred Eastman; four brothers, Lester, Gerald, Donald and Fred Eastman; and two sisters Dorothy Poulos and Frances Madill.

The urn bearers will be Curtis Paterson, Travis Paterson, Chad Schmitz, Shawn Schmitz and Brandon Theisen. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
