Bernadine H. Buranen, age 96, of Annandale, died Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Alex Becker officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Plymouth, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Bernadine Henrietta Buranen was born July 12, 1922 in Clear Lake, Minnesota to Louis and Gertrude (Imholte) Juenemann. Bernadine graduated from Clear Lake High School. On October 5, 1940, Bernadine was united in marriage to Ervin J. Buranen in Clear Lake. They raised their family in Golden Valley and built a home on Lake Sylvia near South Haven in 1979. They also had a cabin on Big Thunder Lake near Remer. Bernadine worked for Dahlberg Electronics for over 25 years as an assembler of hearing aids. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale and TOPS in Annandale. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with family.
Bernadine is survived by her children, Rodney (Linda) Buranen of Plymouth, Maynard (Judy) Buranen of Remer and Laurie (Bill) Doherty of Bigfork; 9 grandchildren, Dana Dahlheimer, Darren Buranen, Sean Buranen, Bill Krause, Cully Buranen, Dan Buranen, Kelly Doherty, Matthew Doherty, and Ryan Doherty; 20 great grandchildren, Jessica, Abbey, Mackenzie, Mason, Brickey, Shelby, Jacob, Alex, Aiden, Fletcher, Audrey, Griffin, Gwena, Graham, Aiden, Bryce, Riley, Brennan, Gavin and Declan; 5 great-great grandchildren, Skylar, Kiera, Dexter, Rodney and Riley; brother, Ronald (Audrey) Juenemann of Clear Lake; and sister-in-law, Marvel Buranen of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Buranen; sons, Merrill and Douglas Calvin Buranen; grandsons, Doug & Rod Buranen; special friend, Clyde Marquette; brothers, Al and Andrew Juenemann; sisters, Alvina Robertson, Elvera Voigt, and Hilaria Johnson; and her parents, Louis and Gertrude Juenemann.
Bernadine's grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. Orma Lou Jacobsma and Kelly Doherty Shank will provide music for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
